Our History

Founded by Bill and Jane Emery in 1995 as Emery Materials Inc., in Escondido, California, Emery Concrete & Asphalt Recycling, opened its Hesperia, California plant in 2010 and has since served the high desert communities.

The company receives concrete and asphalt from the demolition of roads, buildings, bridges, sidewalks, and other infrastructure, and removes rebar and impurities before sending it through a crushing plant. The crushed material creates Class II base, which we then sell at competitive pricing to paving and concrete companies for the construction of new roads, parking lots, and other infrastructure needs.

Recycled road base is a sustainable product that reduces the need for aggregate material mined form local quarries and is significantly less expensive.

Emery Concrete & Asphalt Recycling, Inc. is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Using our product in building or infrastructure projects can provide credits toward LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and Envision certification.
